Are you looking for a recipe idea for Christmas? Then let us suggest an idea for a Christmas dessert that is easy to make and delicious! Below is a recipe for a dessert in a jar, the tiramisu:
To carry out this recipe in jars, you will simply need some glass jars (or mini glass jars) and the ingredients below:
- 2 eggs
- 50g of brown sugar
- Half a bag of vanilla sugar
- 125g of mascarpone
- 20 sponge fingers
- 25cl of sugar-free black coffee
- 15g of bitter cocoa powder
Recipe in jars: tiramisu
To carry out this tiramisu recipe for four people, start by choosing four medium-sized glass jars, ideally empty 200ml glass jars. You can also use an empty jam jar or mini jars.
If you choose mini jars, use more sponge fingers and at least six mini jars.
Once you have chosen your glass recipients, you can start work
on the tiramisu:
Firstly, get the coffee ready.
In the meantime, prepare the cream to garnish the tiramisu. Begin by separating the egg whites from the yokes:
- Whip the egg whites into a light mousse.
- Get a recipient in which you can add the yokes, brown sugar,
vanilla sugar and mascarpone. All these ingredients should be
whipped into a smooth mix. Next, carefully add the egg-white mousse
to this mix. Mix it using a spatula.
Once the coffee is ready, dip the sponge fingers in the coffee. Then line the sides and bottom of the mini glass jars or preservation jars.
After that, make a layer of cream and cover it with a layer of sponge fingers, like in the photo below.
Start the procedure again until the jar is full and finish with a layer of cream. Be careful not to fill the small jam jar or glass jar too much so you can still close it. Sprinkle the desserts with bitter cocoa powder and place the mini jars in the refrigerator for around four hours.
To add finishing touches to your table decoration, you can tie a knot matching your table’s colour around the mini glass jars or jam jars. You can also customise the glass jar lid or jam jar lid by adding a little accessory, pattern or suchlike using double-sided adhesive tape or glue.
