Christmas Crafts: snow decorated bottles
bottle

For this third week of December, here’s another Special Christmas Craft project. After the Christmas tree ornaments made from plastic screw lids and metal screw lids and the snow globes to decorate your lounge, now let’s look at another key Christmas decor item: your Holiday Table.

Every year, you work hard to make sure your table looks perfect. The glass bottles on the table can be decorative elements in their own right. Whether bottles for wine, fruit juice or water, you can decorate your containers thanks to a simple, easy to make craft project.

The magic of Christmas is all in the details. With simple stencils and snow spray, you can customize your empty glass bottles and create a Christmas atmosphere by spraying on stars, Santa figures and other holiday themes.

Here’s how to make these decorative bottles:

The first step is to buy stencils or make them yourself.

  • If you’re making your own stencils for these fantaisie bottles:

Print out Christmas designs: stars, elves, gifts, Santa, Santa hats, sleigh, reindeer or anything else associated with the Christmas spirit. The designs should be fairly simple and without unnecessary details. The next step is to cut out around the edges of your design. Here are a few examples:

  • To make things easier, you can find Christmas stencils to print online.

Then tape the stencils onto the 1L empty glass bottles securely. Be careful to leave enough space between the designs so your guests can pour from your glass bottles without getting their fingers on the snow spray designs.

Spray the snow spray onto the stencil and wait for it to dry. Gently remove the stencil and, if necessary, clean up the edges with a paper tower so your food grade glass bottles will look perfect on your table.

Fill the empty bottles, being careful not to put your fingers on your snow spray designs, and close them with screw-on lids. Ideally, choose lids that fit your glass bottles to make sure they don’t leak.

The empty glass bottles can then be washed and reused the following year. Here is a photo of our decorated bottles. How do you decorate your Christmas table? What decorations do you reuse every year to adorn your table?
